About...

I have now been involved with guitar (playing, repairing,adjusting and selling) since 1982 and I have been blessed with an incredible musical upbringing.  As a heavy metal youngster,  my peers at Ralph Hanzel Music would hand me their own 62 Strat or 51 Tele and show me country or Hendrix licks.  They took their own time to point out the things that I never would have thought about and expanded my musical knowledge.  For that I am grateful. 

I was kinda pushed into working on guitars due to my background in woodworking.  My band mates and I could not afford a pricey set up as we were still saving money for a mic stand.  Looking at a guitar and seeing or hearing the possibilities just came easy to me. 

 It was not until I started working at Charley's Guitar Shop in 1993 and witnessed the incredible workmanship of 2 gifted luthiers that  my intereset in working on guitars and getting the best out of them  was what I would love to do.
